We’re creating a simple Hearing Loss Gold Standard – a checklist of what makes a venue genuinely accessible for people with hearing loss. A Gold Standard venue will:
With Patreon support, we’ll visit venues across Bristol, rate them against the Hearing Loss Gold Standard, and log results on an online Bristol Hearing Loss Map so people can quickly see where loops work, where staff are deaf‑aware, and where the environment makes life easier.
Once we’ve built up real data, we can offer venues a paid, on‑site assessment to show them exactly what they can do to meet our Gold Standard, including a practical report on what’s good, what needs improvement, and priority actions.
